Star Wars - Slave II

Here is a SketchUp model of Slave II, a spaceship from the expanded Star Wars universe that first appeared in the Dark Horse Comics series "Dark Empire." It was the notorious bounty hunter Boba Fett's second ship, (after Slave I), who, after escaping death in the Sarlacc pit on Tatooine, sought revenge against Han Solo. Slave II had a unique non-symmetrical single-wing profile, and was a modified Mandal Motors Pursuer-class enforcement ship, originally designed for police patrol duty. The ship was armed with a pair of heavy ion cannons to cripple, rather than destroy, a target ship, and a rapid fire proton torpedo launcher. The cargo hold was fitted with holding cells for Fett's bounties, it also boasted an overpowered deflector system, (from a capital-sized warship), for added protection. Again, this is another SW ship I thought was an interesting, yet a simple design. It was actually pretty tricky to model in places, especially the pylon on the wing. I used the schematics in the Essential Guide to Vessels guide as reference and added some details of my own. I didn't make the background image.
